Sleek Technique Ballet Sculpt was exclusively designed by professional dancers and founders of Sleek Technique, Victoria Marr, and Flik Swan.  These 10 minute routines are for when you are short on time or when you want to focus a workout on a specific body part.  Everyone wants slender legs, toned thighs, lifted glutes, a flat tummy, and good posture.  These 5 x10 minute ballet routines will focus the muscle groups in those areas to strengthen your physique, shaping you a Sleek Ballerina Body.  These segments can be combined together or played individually.


This DVD includes: 


Tutorial (2 mins): Flik and Victoria help you learn the basic foundations of ballet, making sure your posture is correct and you have the right alignment.


Warm Up (10 mins.): Every ballerina knows the importance of a proper warm-up and this routine is perfect to thoroughly heat your body and stretch your muscles, preparing you for the following routines.  


Floor Mat Abs (10 mins) consists of targeted floor exercises to engage the deep abdominals.  A ballerina’s centre is key to her ability to move with strength and grace.  These challenging sequences are designed to focus your centre using sustained leg extensions, floor pliés and core twists that will isolate and flatten your abs while you build stamina and control.


Standing Mat Abs (10 mins) is based on alternating twisting and side stretching sequences that engage the core, activating your center and nipping in your waist.  This sequence will help you work your upper, middle and lower abdominals, in the same way, a dancer trains, firming them up and pulling them in.  


Ballerina Back & Arms (10 mins) is the perfect routine to tone and tighten your arms and back. High reps of flowing port de bras exercises, arm circles, and arabesques lines will totally refine and sculpt every inch of your upper body like nothing else.   


Perfect Pro Legs (10 mins): Our legs are the foundation of our bodies and this routine is about creating strong, refined dancer legs.  Starting in the centre you will move through pliés, tendus, transfers, and relevés, before heading to your mat to really shape the backs of your legs and glutes with a muscle burning attitude sequence.


Sassy Show Girl (10 mins): A Show Girl knows how to strike a pose and have fun while she dances and ignites the stage.  This routine is about working your hips, thighs, and arms as you follow along with this playful choreography before moving down to the mat to work on developpé exercises to create supple, Sleek limbs. 


Cool Down (5 mins) is essential to keep your muscles lean and elongated.  This stretching sequence will give you time to restore your body to its regular state as you recover from your ballet body workout.

Fun, very graceful, dynamic, complete body workout.


LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Fun, very graceful, dynamic, complete body workout with a twist. I loved it, this is not the pastel, tutu, classical music ballet inspired toning workout, which I also like BTW but this is much more modern and upbeat, it's more of a cardio/sculpting workout or workouts, it was several workouts divided into target areas but I found they all work the whole body. The music in these workouts has a beat and pace that gets you going and sweating, the instructors also wear modern bright color leotards, which I love but I'm simply pointing out there's a bit of a disconnect from the image in the cover and the actual workout but if like me you're looking for a graceful dance cardio workout that would also include toning movements, you might like this one :-)

This is a fun workout. I plan to do it again alternating with some more intense. Prepare for little setup - they go straight to the routines. I have no idea whether they are professional ballerinas or not. If that's what ur looking for, ur better off with Ballet Beautiful. But if a nice workout that leaves you feeling energized throughout was beating u up is ur thing, try it out.
